PRACTICE FEES

At Kilcoy Medical Centre we pride ourselves on delivering the best quality, sustainable community health care.

From 1 November 2025, Kilcoy Medical Centre is a fully bulk-billing practice for eligible Medicare cardholders.
While most consultations are bulk billed for eligible Medicare patients, some services are not covered under the Medicare Bulk Billing Incentive Program and may incur a private fee. These include procedures such as iron infusions and travel vaccinations, employment or insurance medicals, and services for patients who are not eligible for Medicare.
(Subject to GP discretion)

If you are a Concession Card holder or qualify to be bulk billed please update your records with us. Bulk billing is available for people who have a valid Medicare card and are:

  • Pension Card Holders
  • Health Care Card Holders

Please Note

Due to a significant increase in our appointment waitlist, Kilcoy Medical Centre will be introducing a cancellation fee for appointments that are confirmed but not attended, as well as for frequent no-shows.
Missed appointments prevent other patients—often those with urgent medical needs—from accessing timely care. This policy helps us ensure fair and efficient access to appointments for all members of our community.
Fee Applies When:

  • An appointment is confirmed and the patient does not attendand/or
  • A patient has repeated no-shows without adequate notice.

How to Avoid a Fee:
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please contact us in advance so we can allocate the time to another patient in need.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to improve access to healthcare for our community.

If your card has expired, we are not able to accept the Medicare rebate as payment. You will be charged the full fee for service.

Please update your records with us so that you can authorize us to accept the Medicare rebate as payment in full.

If you are a Concession Card holder – Child under 16 years, you need to advise the Receptionist to up-date your Patient Details on the practice medical software with the name of whom the payee will be (under “Head of the Family”) so that you can be billed the consult fee and the payee can receive the Medicare rebate as payment in full back into their bank account.
